This podcast will function as an outlet for unpacking ancient Christianity as preserved through Lutheran thought. I will address matters of culture, scripture, theology, and the Book of Concord. Episode 4 confronts our former way of functioning, known in scripture as the “old Adam.” The sinful flesh refuses to stay quiet as it relates to human efforts, merit, and works based living. It is God Himself who silences the old Adam by gifting us salvation. We can not earn our way into God’s good graces. Baptism is the means whereby God kills the old Adam and raises us to new life, in Christ.
